Chilliwack

The City of Chilliwack bill itself as “The Great Outside”, and one visit will tell you why. Located on the doorstep of the Cascade and Coast mountains, and bordered to the north by the mighty Fraser River, hiking, fishing, boating, bird-watching, golfing, and other outdoor activities surround this community of 80,000.

Chilliwack has long been a centre of agriculture in British Columbia, and that continues today. If you want to eat local, Chilliwack is a great place to start. But farms are not all Chilliwack has going for it. More recently, its historic downtown core has been supplemented by a much larger selection of shopping and dining options, as well as increase in real estate opportunities.

Like most Fraser Valley Communities built along Highway 1, Chilliwack is well-connected, with Abbotsford a short drive to the west, and Vancouver about an hour past that. Chilliwack also has easy access to the BC Interior, and to the United States through Abbotsford.
